Before the Foozles bought it and turned it into their homeworld, Boink was originally a planet-wide vacation resort with numerous hotels, casinos, bungalows, and other living spaces. However, outside of the "touristy areas" of Boink, these are pretty much all zoned as public housing for residents now.

This has led to the rise of Municipal Bedrooms where anyone who needs to can get a bit of sleep, resident or tourist alike. Each locale on Boink has at least one, with cities having two or more, and with larger floorplans.

The structure of the Municipal Bedrooms all follow the same general layout and structure. They are sprawling three-story structures divided into three floors, all of which are open-plan and consist of rounded mattress-like beds in curved alcoves with cushions, pillows and blankets, around a larger central bed which covers most of the floorspace on that level.

The top floor is the sleep zone. There are signs at the entrance stating that people are trying to sleep here, so please be quiet and respectful. Lighting on this level is dimmed to near-dark with walkways outlined by light strips.

The floor at ground level is a combination sex and sleep zone, for hose who want to snuggle down together and have a bit of fun before falling asleep together. Lighting is warm but dim, with the alcoves being darker than the central bed.

The basement is the Orgy Pit, a place to go to have sex. This floor, which is typically below ground, is outfitted with lube dispensers, and signs at the entrance to this level explain that by entering, you are giving full consent to be used as a public sex toy. Lighting here tends towards club-lighting, dark but with neon accents. It is generally accepted that nobody will actually be sleeping down here, and this level is heavily soundproofed against the upper floors to prevent the noise down here from disturbing anyone sleeping on the upper levels.
