Syliss

Syliss is the home planet of the Sylissians, a race of sentient snake people with a religiously Matriarchal society who worship a fertility goddess.

Religion & Culture

The government of the planet of Syliss is a theocracy, founded upon the worship of a transexual fertility goddess known in their native tongue as Syla-Sutrix, (or in translated form, The Holy Slut-Mother). This religion is primarily a female-dominated Matriarchy (referred to as The Sisterhood Of Life). However, over the centuries that The Sisterhood have ruled the planet, what their society will accept as female has broadened in scope, and males have taken on some roles formerly only open to females, via crossdressing. Also, shemales and hermaphrodites are celebrated as physical manifestations of The Goddess herself.

Owing to all of this, Sylissian society is openly gender-fluid, with effeminate males, shemales, and females blending in appearance to the point that it will sometimes become difficult for visitors to tell them apart until the clothing comes off. And the clothing will come off, because their society considers sexual pleasure a gift from The Goddess which should be given freely, and partaken of regularly, with religious fervor, without gender bias, and without shame.

Religious Services

Worship of The Goddess permeates all corners of the planet's society, with (explicitly detailed) statues of her in public spaces, and temples to her worship conveniently located worldwide. These temples function like brothels, where visitors pay a token tribute to the temple priestess and her acolytes: first with their money and secondly with their sexual pleasure and orgasmic release. The style of sexual release provided will vary depending on the value of the donation made to the temple's coffers, with higher quantity tributes receiving higher quantity rewards. There will typically be a placard in each temple listing suggested donation values and the rewards one can expect to receive for that value. It should also be noted that there is no guarantee that a temple priestess will be female, but it is not considered impolite to request a specific gender. It should also be noted that shemales and hermaphrodites are not required to offer tribute in exchange for time in the temples, as they are considered physical manifestations of The Goddess, and it would be rude to ask The Goddess to pay for herself.

Clothing and Fashion

Sylissians resemble cobra-style snakes, with shining snake-skinned bodies which they enjoy showing off. Their clothing tends to be either loose, translucent and flowing, or skimpy and revealing, and is predominantly feminine in style and appearance. One quirk of their fashion sense is the use of "falsies" to emulate the transexual nature of their goddess. Males will sometimes wear clothing padded to make it appear that they possess breasts, and females will sometimes wear clothing padded to make it appear that they possess male genitalia - or in some cases, wear something akin to a strap-on dildo which not only provides the physical appearance of a penis, but is also usable as one for sex. While primarily considered religious accoutrements, members of the public are also known to make use of these accessories.

Architecture and Design

Being technically cold-blooded (though females clearly possess breasts and the ability to lactate) Sylissian society thrives predominantly in the warmer regions of their world, sprawled across deserts, jungles and rain forests and tapering off towards the colder climates where temperature becomes inhospitable. Their architecture is adapted to these climates with wood and stone in the temperate zones giving way to clay bricks and adobe in the sun-baked desert areas.

Sylissian interior design was once likened to "a harem the size of a planet" with low couches or mattress-like floormats piled with throw pillows being the predominant style of furniture. Translucent draperies and hanging beaded garlands also lend a harem-tent like appearance to most interior spaces. The overall impression is one of comfort and intimacy.

Alliance With Boink

With the Sylissians worshipping a transexual goddess, and considering shemales and hermaphrodites to be physical manifestations thereof, they considered it to be their holy duty to support the Foozles when they sought entry for their world into the alliance. The fact that Foozles (and later the Delos) were openly sexual was seen as confirmation that the Goddess was smiling upon the bond formed between their two worlds. This bond was further strengthened when the Sylissians learned that, like their own world, the Foozles had named their planet with a term that means sex.

Ambassadors

An embassy for Boink has been set up near the planetary Capital, with a number of Delos and Foozles in attendance as ambassadors, ready willing and eager to partake in a close and personal union with the world and its people. Likewise, a Sylissian embassy has been set up in embassy row, near Boink City's Rubicon, complete with a temple overseen by a priestess of The Holy Slut-Mother, and her attendants.
