A Honeysuckle flower in its native habitat.

A species of flowering, twining vines in the family Caprifoliaceae, native to the forest regions of the planet Boink. The plant derives its name from the sweet nectar it secretes, and also for its voracious feeding and reproductive habits.

Description

The large, bulb-like purple flowers of this plant are instantly recognizable. Within the flower are a series of tentacle-like stamen and a central pistil. The flower sits atop a thick and sturdy central stem, which protrudes from a leafy base. Below ground, the plant grows a thick bundle of roots that anchor it firmly into place. Where these roots penetrate the surface they grow into thick green vines. One single flower is usually found growing, surrounded by a tangle of these thick, tentacle-like vines. The plant has the ability to move its flower, stem and vines for the purposes of feeding from local fauna. The muscular nature of these systems give the plant the ability to effectively bind, hold and lift a sizable mass.

Feeding

Moonmist being molested by a wild flower.

The Honeysuckle is considered a carnivorous plant, though the prey it ensnares are always left unharmed.

It secretes a sweet and slippery sap-like liquid which serves multiple purposes:

  • It acts as a lure to draw prey close enough to be ensnared by its tentacle-like vines
  • the liquid acts as an aphrodisiac to make the prey horny, relaxed and compliant
  • When consumed by prey, the liquid causes several reactions, of a sexual nature:
    • The genitalia becomes aroused, and made ready for penetration
    • in male genitalia, cum production is induced. in female genitalia, vaginal wetness is induced
    • Lactation is induced, with milk output rate determined by the mass of the prey's breasts. The larger the breasts, the greater the milk produced.
      • Any effect from this on males is therefore usually small enough to go unnoticed

Once prey has been ensnared in the tentacle-like vines and has become relaxed, the plant's flower will then "milk" the prey, draining cum from male genitalia, and milk from breasts. At the same time, it will sexually molest the prey by penetrating it with its vines, keeping the prey horny, happy and sexually satisfied until the plant has drunk its fill. At this point, the plant will release the prey unharmed.

Apart from allowing the plant to feed off the orgasmic releases of its prey, these interactions also form part of the plant's reproductive cycle when the prey has a penis, as the milking motions allow the stamen to twine around and rub their pollen against the prey's erection, before it is fed into a mouthlike vaginal opening on the pistil.

Cultivation

A sign warning the public of a nearby plant.

The Honeysuckle plants only grow natively on Boink. Whether this is due to some chemical in the soil or some other atmospheric factor is at present unresolved. They simply will not grow anywhere else in the galaxy, which has given Boink a total monopoly on the liquids they produce, and the products that can be made from them.

The liquids secreted by these plants form the basis for two of Boink's exports, those being Lewb sexual lubricant and the Wet Dream aphrodisiac cocktail. Several nurseries have been set up and are maintained by Lovesquirt Industries, which house large populations of these plants which are attended to, watered and fed by teams of horny, willing botanists, as they harvest the plant's sap through induced mutual sexual milkings.

The liquid sap is then distilled in a laboratory process, with the slippery lubricant and the drug-like aphrodisiac cocktail divided into separate storage systems.

Protected Status

A public clothing storage shelf next to the warning sign

The Honeysuckle has been recognised as a vital part of Boink's economy, and as a natural resource to be protected. Where it is grown for cultivation, nurseries are overseen by the Boink Department Of Agriculture to ensure the plants are being well cared for.

Where plants are found growing in the wild, they are protected under 36 CFR 294.1 (a) with the BDA, and the Boink Forestry Service placing warning signs around them to alert of the plant's presence and protected status.

The most notable rule regarding this protected status, is that clothing is forbidden within 100 yards of a plant, as the plant may harm itself in the haste to tear that clothing away. Complete nudity is therefore considered legally mandatory in these locations, and warning signs will regularly be situated next to a shelf-like storage box for holding the clothing of any member of the public interested in approaching beyond the warning sign.

These locations are overseen by Boink Guard's planetary protection systems, which keep posted locations under observation, and which are ready to teleport anyone away who appears to be breaking the rules and placing a plant in danger of harm.
